The Players Tour Championship (PTC) finals are the culmination in a series of 12 tournaments held over various weekends in the snooker season. After each individual tournament the money won is collated and at the end of the 12 events, the top 24 on the money list who have played 3 of the events or more qualify for the finals.
The PTC events were first introduced to the circuit in Barry Hearn’s first season in charge which was the 2010/11 season. The qualifying tournaments run from August to December with the finals being in March in Dublin. All matches throughout the qualifying events and the finals are best of 7 frames with no interval. - - http://www.punterslounge.com/
